Beautiful deep burgundy color,on the nose are hints of bitter chocolate, leather but also with a syrupy consistency. Wonderful served with cheeses or by itself, pasta with a tomato based sauce. Lighter on the finish but a joy to drink!

Allegrini Valpolicella
(about 1 year ago)Very cool little wine, very cheap and solid. Focused and flavorful throughout. The color is nice, sort of a light purple. The nose has tons of stawberies and spices. The midpalate is loaded with cherry and greens including green olive and bell pepper. The finish is jam packed with the cherries once again and they come into a more ripe form then the midpalate. It opened up a little bit, but not much. I have been tasting this for about 5 minutes now and I just now got some candied dates on the finish as well.
