Yellow Tail Shiraz - Grenache
(over 2 years ago)A good blend. Not particularly mind blowing or complex, but drinkable and pleasant.
Yellow Tail Shiraz - Grenache
(about 1 year ago)OK. This now has a bit more age behind it, so I think it may have improved....a little. Color is dark and inky, even at the rim, quite nice. Nose is rather flat. There really is not a whole lot going on there nasally. First taste impression: It definitely has some dark fruit going on, possibly a little smoke; not much else. It also is lacking in any mid-palate. It goes straight to the finish which last about 10 seconds, if that; taste transitions from a dark, smokey fruit in the beginning to Gonzo Grape Bubbalicious Bubble Gum at the end. Moderate tannins and a slightly bitter "last hurrah". Overall pretty flat and fruity.
