2005 Pure Evil Chardonnay
(2009-07-04 21:00:40 UTC)There's Evil and Pure Evil. I really bought them for their name and coordinated labels rather than their reputation. I served the Pure Evil Chardonnay with shrimp cocktail, cheese and crackers. Everyone liked it, it had a little oak, buttery aromas, with some nice floral notes. I can't say it was outstanding but it also would be good for those who are not wine drinkers. It wouldn't offend and everyone would like it. It makes a nice housewarming gift.

Probably should only be considered a table wine, but it's drinkable and not at all unpleasant. Lots of citrus flavors in this, which seemed a bit out of place, but pleasant.
