Dark purply red. Very old world earthy nose, with a hint of almost a fruit punch, and some spice, almost black peppery. Long finish, ridiculously smooth and velvety. Nicely balanced.

Don't know if I got a bottle that was a little off, but it was hard to get a handle on this one. Like an old vine Zin, with a muted nose, but good smoky cherry/strawberry flavor (not a sweet fruit bomb either), acidic. The people I drank it with weren't blown away either, so we may need to try again.
