Kim Crawford 2007 Sauvignon Blanc
(5 months ago)I just had a second bottle of this wine and upped my rating from an 89. Wonderful sour apple and floral nose. Nice apple flavor with crisp acidity. I tried this right after trying the 2005 Pepperwood Grove Viognier and there is just no comparison. This wine is so much cleaner, crisper, delicious and more focused.

(5 months ago)A lot of green sour apple flavor, very straightforward but quite tasty. Its a bit cold outside for me to be in the mood for this bottle, but it does put me in the mood to kick back someplace outdoors and quiet in the summertime.

(3 months ago)This wine was better on the second day of drinking. The color is surprisingly pale white with honey, melon, passion fruit mango, and cantaloupe on the nose (the nose being the overwhelmingly best characteristic of this wine). The palate denotes more citrus flavors, such as sour apple and grapefruit. This wine is almost overly complex and somewhat awkward straight out of the bottle. The flavors balanced out, however, with a day or so of contact with air (kept airtight in the fridge). The finish is short and sweet, but not particularly notable.

(3 months ago)Definitely got the granny smith apple taste with a hint of cantelope, passion fruit, and grapefruit. A great table wine!

(3 months ago)I don't drink much white wine, but Sauvignon Blanc is my current favorite. I think I associate it with wine tasting at vineyards (where they start you off with some white before getting into the reds I'm usually more interested in). That said, I think this wine is a great value. It is readily available and very good (they had tons of it at Costco and it was on sale at my local wine store for $12.99). Wonderful citrus aromas. Grapefruit on the palate. The finish was crisp and dry. Really nice stuff. Would definitely recommend and will buy more.

(17 days ago)Tropical fruit (melon and sour apple with a hint of mango) backed up with grapefruit citrus notes. Subtle thyme transitions nicely to a long mineral finish. good acidity and mouth feel.
