I'm normally not a big Zinfandel fan, but this is a very nice wine, with generous doses of Petite Sirah helping the structure without creating an overly tannic wine. So I agree completely with the Wine Advocate review -- "89 points. Exuberant, spicy, peppery, herbal and black cherry and berry fruit... Depth and no hard edges." 55% Zin, 22% Petite Sirah, 7% Carignane, 4% Sangiovese and 1% Syrah. Grapes cultivated from Dry Creek Valley, Anderson Valley and Lake County vineyards. Particularly nice given the price.

Mellow compared to the bright reds I've been trying lately. Dried raisins and herbs that have been soaked in cola.

Mostly zine with some petite sirah and a few others mixed in, this one shows a medium body and robust, rustic flavors.
