I know I like a wine when I keep going for another sip. It was a nice rich purple so I thought big fruit, but then I smelled it and it smelled really light and fragrant, like roses and cherry blossoms. I thought oh no, it smells good but like the good smell you dont want to eat, like soap smells good. Plus I know that I generally don't like light bodied reds, so I thought, it was just going to taste like flowers, not what I want in wine. But then I took a sip, came in nice and light, citrusy and then had a nice deep finish with a hint of bitter. That bitter finish is my little nudge that says, do that again! I'm gonna say it had a zesty finish (not zesty spicy but as in actual zest thats kind of bitter) The whole experience was like eating kumquats. The bright color looks like it will have a bold flavor, but it has a soft scent, you take a bit and you get hit with mild juice and then your left with the chewey peel with a deeper kumquat flavor.
