From Trader Joe's, in a 1-liter jug, 13.5% alcohol. I've seen it for $6-7, this time only $4. From the label: "Saturday Red brings this delectable Italian tradition to California. Visit our historic winery (built in 1900), in the Lodi-Woodbridge wine region of Northern California, where, on Saturdays, you can fill your jug with our unique blend of fine red wine." Too bad I live a few hundred miles away.

I bought two jugs of this wine - $3.99 for a full liter? No-brainer, even if it was mediocre, and it's not. The website link didn't work, so I don't know what varietals are included, and I'm not qualified to begin guessing with any accuracy. Anyway, there's a distinct earthy character to the nose, and it's a little grapey and tannic. Rich, muddy taste with plenty of fruit. Good stuff!
