A nice zin that went well with Thanksgiving dinner. The nose was peppery and brambly, with some spice. Strawberry and raspberry dominate the palate, perhaps with a bit of plum and spice. The finish, though not incredibly long is smooth.

Ruby with a dark garnet rim. It has a complex nose with black cherries, raspberries, asparagus, soil, roasted red bell pepper. In the mouth it is definitely less complex with red berries, preserved cherries and raisins and a touch of allspice. Good grip and smooth tannins, boosted by a good acidity. I'm not a fan of california zinfandels in general but this one surprised me.
