Very good table wine, and excellent with a wide variety of cheeses. I'm not sure if my bottle is '04 or '05. There ain't no date.

Sour cherry, firm tannins, good balance, light or even thin mouthfeel with a medium finish.

Nose is fruity, musty and maybe even a little minty...how about worn leather, bicycle grease, and strawberry/cherry/blackberry. Perhaps a subtle hint of almond paste? Slight scents of pepper add to a coy sexiness.

The fruit is there, but its balanced with the cab and syrah. I like this kind of tannins with my zinfindel, so I bumped up the score a little.

Big Red isn't loaded with nuts, but it did bring out the nuttiness of a cave-aged gruyere very nicely. ¡Muy bueno!
