Last evening my wife and I were cooking two soups for friends (one was a Callaloo and the other a Green Tomato). I was in charge of picking the appropriate wines for the soups and my wife was in charge of picking out the wine we would drink while cooking (drinking while cooking is something I learned from my brother and a good friend, Jack Hanna (no, not the animal trainer). Anyway, I thought I did a good job, but my wife, Andrea gets the award for best pick of the night . . .the Terrazas Malbec. This wine is smooth, lite and went very well with the herb gouda and wheat crackers we served as a little app. Additionally, we liked the price. I am a big fan of the Argentinian wines and this one is right up there. Dig it!
