Upon opening the bottle, you can immediatly smell licorice and menthol. The body is solid, and the taste of licorice is very dominant. The longer you let it breathe, the more it smooths out. Very well layered, it delivers a "raisiny" finish. Surprisingly young tasting for a 2002, this wine is good now, but should be excellent in about five years or so. 06/07
