Saint Jean Du Barroux L'oligocene 2003
(6 months ago)Excellent. A complex, balanced wine with a strong cherry component that is not overpowering. It's hard to believe that something as smooth as this has such a high alcohol content (15%). This is as good as many Chateauneuf du Papes that are double the price.

(6 months ago)This stuff is great. An amazing amount of cherries. Some black pepper also. Beautiful finish. Paired great with lamb. I had the 2004 and it is very similar, but I think that it is even better.
