Opens sweet slight oak spice, hint of a crisp apple pear finish. Found it in Cape Elizabeth here http://www.innbythesea.com/dining.html Could have been the storage, but not as awsome as I usually find the reserve. The menue said it was a 02' and when I brought it up to the waiter, he said he wouldnt charge us for the better year. This was no 02', and I wish they would have had a 96-98 in the house. The waiter had a real nice ear ring, and was a big kiss ass.

Surprisingly drinkable for a Chardonnay, which I usually don't care for because of their tendency to be on the bitter side of oak-y. Richer and fruitier than others, with a greater honey flavor. Best if swirled generously and accompanied with the right food.

I had this with a nice piece of seared Ahi Tuna. The wine itself had a bit of a buttery flavor. Not too oaky as I've found with a lot of other Chardonnays. I expected a bit more from the reserve, but a good wine.
