Belles Soeurs 1999 Pinot Noir
(11 months ago) buddy icon manual 88.0/100
the color is Pinot. not too light, not too dark. minor hints of an earthy red around the rim. the nose shoots out immediately. upon opening this i noticed major Cherokee Red soda and wet sawdust. it has mellowed slightly and now there are additional hints of tobacco and the garden blend of herbs you get in a plastic container in produce. tangy attack right up front transitioning to a dirty baseball glove through to some spice and heat on the finish. very dry from the mid to finish as well. leaves me with a dried pine needle and cherry cola flavor still attacking the top of my tongue and roof of mouth. the nose is enjoyable on this as you tip it back to drink. not exactly a delicate pinot. will pair this tonight with some ruby red trout and mushrooms.
