Carpineto Dogajolo 2005
(11 months ago)A blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon from Tuscany. The color is deep garnet with violet reflections. On the nose I got very fruity and intense aromas, with hints of cherry, coffee, vanilla and spice. The palate is full, soft, complex and well balanced. A delicious Italian wine, and a real bargain!
Carpineto Dogajolo 2005
(10 months ago)Dark red, smoky, with hints of bacon and pepper. Noticeable alcohol on the finish, with a much appreciated lack of fruit flavors. Mellow, dark, and mysterious with hints of cedar wood. That said, it's a bit under-assertive and boring, but nice enough.
