(over 2 years ago)I'm not into Pinot Grigio, but I love Oregon Pinot Gris. And oh my GOD this is a beautiful wine, with delicious ripe pear and spice dancing on the palate for eons. I've read in reviews that it also tastes of almonds, so what's a boy to do but buy another bottle and test out that proposition? What Pinot Gris should be all about.

(about 1 year ago)Displaying a champagne-like color, offers an expressive nose (very expressive for Pinot Gris) loaded with butter and hints of tangerine, clamshell and chlorine. Admirable mouthfill of evident texture, loads your palate with butter, almond extract, and little hints of lemon-lime zest, all in very good balance of acidity, fruit, astringency, body, and inevitable finish. A very clean and harmonious white. For the quality, it is a very good value and an elegant morning wine. Paired very well with my clam cream sauce spaghetti, and Lindt white chocolate truffles for dessert. Do not serve too chilled!
