I found this on the 2001 vintage: Merlot and Cabernet franc. This wine is a little tight on the nose, slight cherry, noticeable cedar box, tobacco, leaves and espresso. At first it comes off somewhat austere, but really it is just very polished and stylized. Really long and pleasant finish... I think that this summarizes the wine pretty well. I would put this right in the category of classic Bordeaus. It is really nicely balanced, and has a nice long finish, with just a slight off taste, which is a tannic mixture of the dregs of the grape, which reminds me of Armagnac. That really comes and goes quickly, and doesn't detract too much from the wine. This is really a quite nice wine, and it held up well to a 10 year aging, which says something about the body of the wine.
