Almost a four. Had with burgers. Fruity but had some interesting notes, and tannins. Need to try again. Even though it was pretty much a big bold new world wine, maybe there is some good acid in there also, because it even stood up to an apple cider vinaigrette. 14.7 alcohol, but I never would of guessed it.

Very fruity and strong. I especially like this wine with dishes featuring tomatoes; the acidity and sweetness of the tomatoes nicely match the similar flavors of the wine.

This is what I go to when I'm in the mood for a very good chianti. A bit bigger than most, and cuts through a hearty tomato sauce. I bought a bottle tonight and was told that it would be the last. I hope there's another vintage on the way.
