Deep garnet in color, this Syrah reveals complex aromas and flavors of blackberry, black pepper, dried sage and roasted oak. The palate texture and structure of the wine are elegant, displaying polished tannins and a long, smoky finish. This syrah for me is a really good wine made in the new world sence with a traditional rhone grape.

Complex and bold, deep ruby color. A big wine for a syrah. I had this alongside a French syrah (Jean-Luc Colombo 2003 Syrah La Violette) that was cheaper by $3 or $4, and the French syrah was much more enjoyable. This one was bolder and more tannic, but the French one was more interesting and we all liked it much more.
