Ruby red colour with purple hues. Complex and sweet harmonious aromas of tobacco, blackcurrants and blackberry, cedar and fruit mince. Vibrant ripe fruit bouquets, nice floral hints, and a sweet tarriness. Well-structured, soft and harmonious, the addition of Merlot to the Sangiovese, has brought softness, and opened new fruit nuances in the wine. A light hint of sweet, nicely rounded tannins, persistent and refined, works gently alongside the silky palate. Enhanced freshness and fruitiness of the blend makes Santa Cristina a very stylish wine, with welcoming tannins and lingering flavours to the finish.
