Rush Cabernet Sauvignon 2003
(over 2 years ago)This is actually very good. Not at all what I expected from a cabernet, Rush is a fruity easy-to-drink wine, while still having a lot of the full-bodied personality of a good red.
Evidently, it is only available in Alabama under this name:"Rush Garner, Birmingham wine connoisseur and owner of Rush Wines, will debut his 2003 Rush Cabernet Sauvignon. This custom label wine created in collaboration with master wine blender Spencer Graham on the Burrton Wine Company and Elizabeth Spencer Wines (both based in St. Helena, Calif.) will only be available in Alabama. The premier release of this California-appellation wine, a blend of 87-percent cabernet sauvignon, 10-percent merlot and 3-percent syrah, is slated for mid-April, and it will be featured at Magic City Art Connection's Corks & Chefs on April 23 and 24. Ask your local retailer about special-ordering this limited-production wine."--from Birmingham Weekly: http://www.birminghamweekly.com/archived/pages/20050414_eatbeat.php
UPDATE: The 2003 is sold out! 2004 is available now, and is not quite as interesting, but still good.
