It is smooth and round, with a splash of hot pepper around the edges just to remind you that it’s a cab. There are a lot of vegetables, especially bell peppers, on the nose. The taste carries a bit of the veggies, but then the late-summer fruit slaps you across the face. There are ripe blueberries, sweet blackberries, even some black raspberries in there. There is an extended finish that gains a black pepper edginess after a few seconds.
