Apple and pear to start, nice buttery smooth finish. Well balanced and interesting. Good mouth feel.

Tried at Mizuna, Spokane.

The problem with unoaked chard is that it really turns the wine into a make or break situation – either it stands on its own or it sinks without the old friend buttery oak. Unfortunately this wine sank, though with the excellent beet salad I had with it, I really didn’t mind all that much. Apple and melon at the front, fruit cocktail on the back end.
