Lapis Luna 2004 Merlot
(10 months ago)A nice and mellow wine... non-offensive. I think even a newbie to wine could enjoy this wine. Heavy, fresh strawberry jam scent and flavor. Wouldn't purchase this one again, but I wouldn't refuse to drink it either. An above average beginner wine.
Lapis Luna 2004 Merlot
(about 1 month ago)Nose: OAK and tons of it... Spice, Tea, Black currant - I didn't catch the strawberry as other reviewers noted. Mouth feel: Strong up-front body with long finish and strong gripping tannins. not particularly silky. Flavors - the oak comes through really strong, if you like oak this would be great for you. After delivering the tea from the nose and an overall dark fruit presence a bit of tobacco comes as the wine finishes which is pretty interesting and peaked my curiosity for a second sip.
