Intensely aromatic with floral, ripe citrus, and honey overtones. Light and fresh on the palate with further zesty notes, along with fresh grapes and honey. Elegant and crisp with a refreshing dry finish. Very drinkable. The Alasia range of wines began in 1994 using the best local grapes and New World vinification techniques to produce distinctive varietal wines. These wines are made at the main Araldica winery in Castel Boglione which consists of two parts The oldest - Antica Contea di Castelvero – is where the wine is processed and aged in stainless steel, large wooden ‘botti’ and barrels. The second part, opened in 2000, contain a very modern the bottling plant and warehouse. The Araldica cooperative now comprises 300 members who tend to around 900 hectares of vines. As well as traditional and native varietals such as Barbera, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, Cortese, Arneis and Moscato they also grow the less common Brachetto and Freisa alongside more international grapes such as Merlot, Cabernet and Chardonnay. The vineyards are situated in the major areas of the Langhe, Monferrato, Roero and in Gavi.
