2004 Domaine de la Noblaie Chinon "Les Chiens-Chien"
(9 months ago)First off, my bottle was somewhat messy to open as a result of being overfilled. However, I won't let that get in the way of the wine. The nose is smoky--so much so that it almost reminds my of a good single malt scotch. As the wine opens up a bit more, some cherry starts to come through as well. On the palate, the wine is light in body but with nice structure. Very herbal, which is to be expected from cab franc. Because of it's strong acidic backbone, this wine shines with a rich dish. A very long, light finish.

(26 days ago)Light to medium body, bit of cigar ash on the nose. Medium tannin on the finish.
