(8 months ago)Nose: some kind of berries Mid-palette: heavy berry fruit, one-dimensional Finish: What finish? Thoroughly average pinot noir, made from the leftovers of various vineyards (appelation: California!). A good way to start enjoying this grape, but one comparison with a true burgundian pinot will make you leave this wine behind.

(8 months ago)Decent Pinot for the price. You'll enjoy this wine midweek without feeling guilty for opening one of your prize wines.

(7 months ago)Light garnet color out of the bottle. Heavy oak on the nose, hints of cherry. Nice smooth taste, but light mouthfeel; not a very substantial wine, but quite good value.

(7 months ago)Very light color. Nose presents a little manure & some wood. Some blackberry. A vegetal aspect. Attack has an interesting corned beef component. Not too dry. Hints of cocoa on the midpalate. Nice plum component. Not much finish. Some flaws, but drinkable.

(7 months ago)The best way to describe this wine is thin. Perhaps it will add some character as it ages. Very drinkable and nice in the red berry dimension. Quick finish.

(3 months ago)Though I thought this wine was tasty and unoffensive, I felt it lacked some characteristics present in most Pinot Noir. No barnyard, no strawberries. It smelled and tasted a little artificially fruity in my view, and the finish was non-existent. But like I said, unoffensive and $10 so I'd say it is fairly priced.

(19 days ago)I bought this on clearance for $4, so I was definitely trepidatious. Maybe that's why my final rating is higher than any of the other folks who have reviewed the wine. I, like everyone else, found it to be thin and lacking much of a finish. The flavor was very nice, however, and it was perfect for accompanying a mundane task (in this case our monthly budget). I wouldn't serve it for guests, necessarily, but if I could find it for $4 again, I'd drink it by the case on my own.
