Nose: tart cherries, alcohol, bright fruits, the tiniest bit of molasses. Palate: spicy - anise perhaps?, tart, soft mouthfeel...mellow tannins. The finish is almost bitter - however, not unpleasant. Excellent value.

This is a food wine. Big red sauces, or maybe garlic and olive oil for sure. Had this with a garlic roasted chicken with rosemary and it complimented it quite well. I thought of it as smokey almost almond with soft tannins and a nice mouth feel. Lacks a bit on the finish but over all a solid effort.
