2005 Water Wheel Bendigo Shiraz
(about 1 year ago)Blackberry, plum, a little too fruity for me, even though I like new world wines...
2005 Water Wheel Bendigo Shiraz
(10 months ago)Big fruity nose...black fruit..A bit dry and lots of oak and pepper on the mid palate. The finish is mostly oak and not real smooth.

(9 months ago)Deep ruby red/purple color. A little too much alcohol on the nose, but then you're crushed by a ton of fruit that includes both dark fruit and strawberries. That fruit greets you first on the taste but then throw in a bunch of pepper as you move from the mid-palate to the finish, which is somewhat long. Nice balanced structure throughout - a good decant helps it to open up a bit.

(4 months ago)Excellent shiraz but not the greatest I've had. Dry, peppery, good finish. Not the smoothest shiraz. Earthy too. Watery mouth feel.
2005 Water Wheel Bendigo Shiraz
(2 months ago)This shiraz actually seemed to improve the longer it was opened. And I'm not talking a short time, but rather over several days. The sharp edges disappeared and it became a classic smooth shiraz that I ended up enjoying a lot.
