Bertrand-Berge Fitou Cuvee Ancestrale 2004
(7 months ago)Huge body, deep deep color. There is a woody, forest type aspect to the nose. So many of the full bodied wines I've had the opportunity to try have been fruit bombs - this was a nice change. The alcohol may have been a little over the top but overall it felt pretty balanced. Neither too focused or too flabby. Highly recommended.

(5 months ago)Nose is somewhat tight. Some cherry, a little wood. & a hint of bacon fat. Nice red cherries off the tree on the attack. Somewhat hot. Good, but basic. Hint of chocolate on the finish. Good back end tannins. Polished, but a little boring.
