(9 months ago)Vegetables (V8 juice) rather than fruits. A little hot.

(8 months ago)I'm a sucker for Syrah and Viognier so I had high hopes and was not disappointed. The first 2 glasses had me saying "wow" after each sip as I tried to discern what was going on. Finally I gave up and just enjoyed it. Bought a second bottle for a detailed tasting. Its very well rounded and has nice depth from french oak. Its smooth and rich and almost leathery on the palate and then its gone. Bouquet is remniscent of linseed oil. If you like wines with deep structure like Barolo you will probably love this wine. A wine to be savored and yet it goes down real easy so get 2.

(8 months ago)After about 2 hours of decanting, there were some nice smells of the forest floor - a little dirt, moss, mushrooms and a few wildflowers. On the palate is all veggies with some plum and perhaps some figs. A bit of the oak monster, but the friendly version. The finish grows and grows and that is where the oak monster gets a little out of control, with perhaps a little bit of heat. All in all, a solid effort and a great QPR.
