This Riesling is a good value buy and is a solid, fruit-forward wine. It has a slightly thicker mouth-feel than many whites, which leads it to feel a bit syrupy. Nothing spectacular here, but you can hardly go wrong at $11/bottle. I rate it "money"

In a world where overpriced, over oaked, underachieving California Chardonnay still rules, I am happy that great value Riesling from Alsace is out there. Full bodied and bold, this wine shows nice apple, honey and mineral flavors, with a decent finish. Not super long lived like its big brothers, but great now and probably through 2008.

The acetone is showing now, but there isn't much fruit to back it up.
