Ripeness here is pushed over the edge. The high alcohol content, (15.6%) and an acrid mouth feel conspire to create an unbalanced fruit stew. A bubbly cola effect is even more disconcerting. Decanting the wine will mostly eliminate this problem, but will soften any remaining tannins causing the sugars to take over.

I particularly like the fruit-forward super-Jammy style of this wine. I'd compare it to other big Zins like CigarZin from Cosentino or Earthquake Zin from Earthquake. Good stuff.

I really enjoyed this wine. Definitely, an in-your-face flavor, with strong tannins, but a great finish.

I tried this at the shop in Healdsburg, CA. Walked away with a bottle to enjoy at home. Very nice.

After getting punched in the face with the overflow of rich jammyness this Zin opened up and became able to drink again. Predominant bubble gum flavor.

Color: deep ruby-purple. Beautiful color. Nose: fruit-forward and detectable alcohol. Taste: Fruity (black and blueberries) new world Zin unlike other Rosenblum Zins that I've had. Medium- to full-bodied red that is well-balanced with a medium finish. Overall: 84 b/c it is a well-balanced wine, but a little too fruity for my palate and expectations. Cannot recommend
