Thomas & Fils 2005 La Crele
(over 2 years ago)No oak in this dry wine. Citrus aroma and flavor of grapefuit and lemon with a hint of the grape still there. Perfect with spicy fare or seafood.
Thomas & Fils 2005 La Crele
(about 1 year ago)This wine is an Sancerre with 12.5% ALC not really noted in the description (2nd reviewer). The wine has a pronounced nose of citrus with some minerality. The flavor is a nice grapefruit component with some lemon and lime action. The wine is dry and walking the line of too acidic. I enjoyed this wine more with the addition of food (chesse in my case). The wine has a nice ballance and weight. It is refreshing and drinkable without thinking too hard. This is a nice wine for the money but there are still better wines at this price point. I could give this wine a 90 if the acid wasn't a bit too high.
