(over 2 years ago)Totally impressed by this budget wine. Notes of plum and earth. Nicely balanced. A really solid everyday wine for the money. Great name, too.

(over 2 years ago)Bright fruit and somewhat acidic finish to this simple wine. Nonetheless a nice budget wine. Goes well with pork.

(over 2 years ago)Paid $7 at Trader Joes. Some nice fruit notes. Fairly mild, not much spice/pepper.

(over 2 years ago)Fruity and a bit acidic, but overall very drinkable. A great deal at $8.

(over 2 years ago)This is one of my favorite "everyday" wines. It's very full and round without being too mild or bland. Lots of big fruit, but not overly sweet. I always get a hint of chocolate out of the first glass. This is a great buy at $7 or $8.

(about 1 year ago)Better than the Pinot Noir, but not great. For a few dollars more I could easily fine wine I enjoyed more.
HRM Rex Goliath Giant 47 Pound Rooster Cabarnet Sauvignon
(about 1 year ago)Decent for the price. Nothing special about it but I would drink as an everyday bargain wine.

(about 1 year ago)Considering the price on this wine, it was definitely worth it. Dark Berries, a little hot.

(about 1 year ago)Overall a good tasting cab. You could do much worse for an everyday type of wine that costs a lot less than $10.
HRM Rex Goliath Giant 47 Pound Rooster Cabarnet Sauvignon
(about 1 year ago)First Impressions: Barely recognizable as a cabernet. Initial tase was good, but nothing behind it except occasional raisin flavor and heavy alcohol taste.
HRM Rex Goliath Giant 47 Pound Rooster Cabarnet Sauvignon
(about 1 year ago)This is a very solid bargain wine. Meaty, but balanced with some hints of plum, it would be a great wine for a larger group of dinner guests. It's pretty versatile yet still a lot of fun. And you can't beat the price. Good for an everyday cab -- don't expect it to knock your socks off.

(6 months ago)Initial taste ok, but very unremarkable afterwards. Perhaps a lot of decanting would help.
HRM Rex Goliath Giant 47 Pound Rooster Cabarnet Sauvignon
(3 months ago)Great everyday table wine available in most stores. Good body with smooth finish.
HRM Rex Goliath Giant 47 Pound Rooster Cabarnet Sauvignon
(3 months ago)not impressed, horrible nose when first popped, but became better with decanting. what I call an "akward" little wine, not bad not good, you know the "C" student in the room who sometimes gets a "B". massive tannins medium long finish with a strange unidentifiable taste... Gary V said powdered grape drink but thats not what I thought just a strange taste.

(20 days ago)A bit to fruity for a Cab.
