Bernard Baudry 2006 Chinon "Les Granges"
(8 months ago)Bell pepper, taleggio cheese ferment smell(?). Medium-light body. OK with poultry, over-powered by beef and pork. Nicely balanced acid-wise.

(7 months ago)Color: Ruby. Nose: Multiple different things going on. Dark berries + distinct fermented dairy smell, maybe yogurt + a bit of green veggie. Flavor: I'd give it a 5/10 on the intensity of the flavors. Well put together, nothing is off-balance. Some veggies up front on the tongue. Some tannic gripping of the mid-back tongue. Another medium-mild veggie pulse at the back of the tongue. Some heat at the finish which decays into nice throat warmth. Nothing wrong with this wine, but at 17 you can do way better.

(6 months ago)On the nose I get olives or at least olive juice. Not too complex. On the palate I get light tannins. Fairly smooth. Not much acidity. not much structure. Overall not terrible, but nothing to write home about.
