Deep muddy red color, and the nose matches. Earthy and tannic with plenty of anise/fennel. Blackberry, too. The body is fairly light, but it has substantial tannic bite and a long finish. Full of berry fruit, with hints of dark chocolate & coffee. Bobal is considered to be somewhat pedestrian, but this is a good, solid wine on the rugged side.
