This wine exhibits aromas of white cherry, apricot, melon and biscuit. The tiny bubbles gently rise to the top of a straw yellow wine, with a light golden hue highlight.

An impressive wine with some unique character. Wine shows some pickled ginger on the nose, along with some biscuit (almost the buttery KFC biscuits) and stale bread notes. Zingy acidity makes itself known on the midpalate. Finish is modest. I liked this one.

This wine should not be equated with Mumm's grocery-available Brut Prestige. It's a totally different beast (which earns several more points from me). The nose is very much middle of the road Mumm (it's their yeast), but the flavor is extremely nice. This is a very well-rounded cuvée that compares favorably to other bruts both at and above this price point. And it pairs uncannily well with cucumbers -- don't ask me why, but it totally does.
