I've now had excellent dry white wine from Grgic in Croatia and Grgich in California. They're the same family, famous for Chardonnay but I prefer the Fume Blanc and Posip. Fun with fish but versatile, crisp and refreshing, fruit but not overwhelmingly so. Got it at the bar in Casablanca restaurant in Harvard sq.

My wife and I have made two trips to the Grgich Winery over the last year. Each time we have picked up a case of the Fume Blanc.

I really like this wine. I am normally a powerful red guy -- so that is saying something for a crisp white. It has a very strong grapefruit body, but it works well.

This is the perfect refreshing bottle for a nice sunny day.
