2006 Pepperwood Grove Old Vine Zinfandel
(about 1 month ago)2006 Pepperwood Grove Old Vine Zinfandel
(about 1 month ago)I think this is my first Pepperwood Grove wine. Won't be my last. The nose exhibits earthy tannin, anise, pepper and a little mothball; a good start. It tasted young & raw at first, no surprise, but after a couple of hours really smoothed out into a nice wine. Nothing fancy, but very enjoyable. Round & juicy, lots of berry & cherry, mild tannic bite. It was good with grilled steak.
