Deep ruby/purple-colored 2000 Syrah reveals supple tannin, good texture, and copious amounts of blackberry fruit with hints of bacon fat and pepper. Rich and fruit-forward

Jospeh Phelps Syrah Monterey 2000
(5 months ago)Too much for an average bottle that lacked sparkle and was too heavy in tannins. Not nearly as flavorful as expected. Leathery musty in character. Maybe a bad bottle? Would not buy again.
