Cherry red wine has a very fruity nose, cherry and strawberry first, then tarter aromas. On the palate, it's like an acidic cranberry juice, and I mean that in a good way. Should mate well with foods, although I haven't tried it with anything yet. I wouldn't exactly break this open for a back-porch afternoon, it's a little too tart for my version of a summertime sipper. I would think it would go well with shrimp, pork and chicken.
