2007 Giesen Sauvignon Blanc
(9 months ago)Color: Very light yellow Smell: Medium intensity, pleasant bouqet with positive grapefruit, slight pineapple and slight lime Taste: Green apple/Grapefruit/Tropical fruit, medium dry, malic/crisp acidity, soft astringency, slightly bitter, medium mouthfeel, lingering finish. Overall good balance.

(8 months ago)Standard fair for Sauvignon Blanc. Nothing too special here, but a good solid bottle. Flavors of grapefruit and straw, finish fine and lingers for a while.

(3 months ago)Appearance: Pale - Medium in intensity with a lemon color. Nose: Medium with aromas of white flower, gummy bears lemon candy, peach, and somewhat medicinal. Palate: Off-dry with medium acidity, fairly high body, with flavors of steel, flint, grass, pineapple, and hints of pear. The length was excellent, lasting more than twenty seconds. Conclusion: Very good wine. The acidity is crisp, and the fruit balances out the heat. The bouquet is lively, with complex fruit. The transition is fluid throughout, and for the price, is an absolute buy.
