2006 Walla Walla Vintners Walla Walla Valley Merlot

Ok, I'm sold. I've believed in Northwest Pinot - Willamette Valley - for a while now. But I'd never really had good Bordeaux-style wines. I'd heard good things, but everything I'd tasted seemed, uh, flat. This might just be the kicker though. Jam, cocoa, loam, tobacco, and a lot of dense scents that I can't quite put my finger on. I haven't had a lot of Merlots I've liked, but I think this one would impress even Miles from Sideways. No fucking Merlots indeed! You can pour this juice for me any day...
