Casa Lapostolle 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon
(over 2 years ago)This is a reasonable price for a wine from Chile. It has the hallmark tasting characteristics of a typical cabernet sauvignon wine with some tannins lingering in your mouth. It is not extremely dry with a heavy punch of tannins as some of the cheap wines sometime tend to be.

(over 2 years ago)Pretty ruby color. Hits your nose right away with some intense berry notes -- I get fresh, just barely ripe strawberries. Soft tannins. Finish is pretty long and mellows that "just ripe" nose I got to a jammy ending. For $12, I call it a winner.

(about 1 year ago)A decent cab. Strong tannins overpower the overall expierence, not in a good way.

(about 1 year ago)Ok, lots of fruit and a little of a microbiological nose.
Casa Lapostolle 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon
(about 1 year ago)Needed to decant for an hour before any nose came out - then a lovely cherry red fruit bouquet. Full body. Nice firm tannins, decent finish. Solid bottle of Cab. I have no idea how someone could score it less than 85.
