This really tastes of the earth. Deep ruby color, very fragrant nose, with blackberries and spice upfront. Berries explode on the palate, and there are touches of plum, leather, and herbal qualities. Very nice with a beef stromboli, equally as good with a salad of pasta, spinach, grains and pecans. It was a gift, but I've seen it at Trader Joe's, I believe, and it's not too expensive at all. I would say it's a very good value.
