I paid close attention when drinking this one over a couple of nights. It was $19.99 at Trader Joe's (therefore, no quantity discounts were available) so my expectations were running higher than if it were $9.99. Lemon curd on the nose- smells like a delicious lemon pie of some sort. Very fruity on the attack, with great density. A "big" Chardonnay in this respect. But not big like oaky and buttery- big like lemon pastries. But not like lemonade- richer than lemonade. Interesting. The only negative for me was the finish. I consistently picked up on some bitter taste I couldn't quite place, but I noted it every time I took a sip. Maybe it was oak or something, but how would I know what oak tastes like having never eaten oak?
