Leather, strawberries, cherries and a bit floral. Pleasant fruit with subtle earthy tones. Spicy kick with dryness on the finish. A bit hot, might diminish with air time. It is 14.5% alcohol by volume.

A hint of leather with a lot of heat on the nose. Also a slight earth and fertilizer scent lingers. Even after 2.5 hours of decanting this wine's nose is completely disguised with heat. Plum, blackcurrant and heavy black cherry on the nose. The midpalate is dominated by dark chocolate and a nice rich dry black cherry. Very reminiscent to Michigan grown black cherries. The backend is a mix of leather, spice and heat. A little too much heat. This is a very nice $10 wine, complements a steak well or with sharp cheese. A very complex enjoyable wine with one negative. Too much heat.
