Tasting Notes from Cork’d Members
Les Salices Pinot Noir 2006
(4 months ago)Medium to deep garnet in colour. Moderately aromatic nose of creosote, cooked dark fruit, dried fruit and metallic notes with evident alcohol. Dry on the palate with quite low acidity, moderate tannin and balanced alcohol (despite the alcoholic nose.) Flavours are a bit flat and mute and lacking verve. Medium length finish. Decent quality for an everyday red in this price range, however not very typical of Pinot.
